Is 18 too old to be a ballerina?

Usually, you need to start auditioning at LEAST 16, but there is a slim possibility. Dancers who have been trained with professional companies their whole lives sometimes do not even make it to becoming a ballerina. I think it would be better if you just decided to not dance professionally, because I don't think you will be able to become a professional at such a late age.
